Aroma

Terms of Service

Last updated 6 September 2026

By creating an Aroma account or using the app or website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Aroma.

What Aroma is

Aroma is a personal record-keeping app for scents and diffusers. It does not control, operate, or communicate with any device, and it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any diffuser or fragrance manufacturer. Brand and product names are used only to identify what you are logging, and remain the property of their owners.

Your account

You need an email address and password to use Aroma, you must be at least 13 years old, and you are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. One person per account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.

Your content

Your logs, notes, and photos remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to store, process, and display that content back to you, and to other users where you have chosen to make something public. You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload.

Acceptable use

Do not upload unlawful, abusive, or infringing content; do not attempt to access other users' data; do not scrape, overload, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the service. We may suspend or remove accounts that do.

Price and changes

Aroma is currently free. If paid features are introduced, existing functionality you already rely on will not be moved behind a paywall without notice. Features may change, and we may add, modify, or remove parts of the app as it develops.

Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time from Settings inside the app. Deletion is permanent and removes your account, rooms, logs, photos, and custom scents, as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, or discontinue the service, with reasonable notice where practical.

No warranty, and limits on liability

Aroma is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. It is a diary, not a safety system: always follow your diffuser manufacturer's own instructions for use, oils, dilution, ventilation, and cleaning. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for lost data, or for any amount greater than what you have paid to use Aroma.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes consumer rights you have under the mandatory law of your own country.
